Good results for Carrera Ski Racing Team during the Skiing World Cup

Padua 19th February 2009 – The Skiing World Cup in Val d’Isere (FR) finish this week and the CARRERA SKI RACING TEAM 2008/2009 that during this season is obtaining a remarkable series of victories, took CARRERA helmets and goggles to the highest steps of the podium.

Great satisfaction was brought by Swiss-born, Carlo Janka, who is the new Giant World champion, the perfect end to a year of outstanding results, such as his 3rd position in the Downhill of Saturday 7th, a race that was affected from poor visibility.

More great results were achieved by Austrian skier Andrea Fischbacher who gained the bronze medal in the Super-G on Tuesday 3rd February, and Elisabeth Goergl who arrived 3rd in the Super Combined on 6th February.

The new team also features big names in Nordic skiing, such as the Olympic ski-jumping champion Thomas Morgenstern and the world ski-jumping champion Gregor Schlierenzauer.

For winter 2008-2009 season, CARRERA is also the official ski goggle and helmet supplier for the Austrian, Bulgarian, Finnish, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Swiss and USA ski pools. Athletes such as the Austrians Stefan Goergl, Johan Grugger, Andrea Fischbacher, Martin Hollwarth, Cristoph Bieler and Romed Baumann, Switzerland's Cornel Zuger and Tobias Grünenfelder, Sweden’s Therese Borssen and Nicolas Rainer will compete in the various disciplines of downhill and cross-country skiing, always protected by CARRERA products.
